Description:
This dress of striped silk features a shamrock pattern. It has a standing lace collar and lace at the neck. There is black lace applique on the center front of the bodice and lace trim on the cuffs of the sleeves. Cloth covered buttons can be seen on the skirt. On the interior of the dress are antiperspirant pads that are stamped with the label from Kleinert's, which was the first company to create garment shields. Features that indicate this dress is from the early 1900s are the standing collar, the narrow waist, the long sleeves, and the floor length hem.
