Description:
This black hat is made of straw and horsehair. The large crown is heavily decorated with gray net and there is a large rhinestone embellishment on the front of the crown. This hat also has an interior stamp that reads "Corl, Knott, Co. LTD., Grand Rapids, Mich.". This hat is also accompanied by a black velvet band. It is unknown what the band is for.

Dr. Noyes Latham Avery Jr. was born on May 31st, 1909 to Dr. Noyes L. Avery Sr. and Evelyn Leonard Avery. He married Ann Edmunds in 1942 and passed away on December 8th, 1996.
