Description:
This straw wicker cloche features a ribbon around the base of the crown. The cloche hat was newly popular in this time period, having just been created in 1908 by Caroline Reboux. It was often worn with short hairstyles such as the bob. The cloche was worn low on the forehead and sometimes featured embellishments such as lace applique, embroidery, and jeweled broaches.
