Identifier:

Description:
This straw wicker hat was very modest for its time period. In the 1880s women's hats were often very elaborate and displayed decorations such as ribbons, feathers, lace, and flowers. This style of hat was mostly likely worn with a hairstyle of large curls or chignons at the neck. It is unique due to the shape of the crown and because of its lack of decoration.
