Description:

This American National Red Cross certificate indicated Mrs. Aldonna Leslie, also known as Mrs. Victor Leslie, completed the standard course in Red Cross Home Nursing given under the auspices of the Kent County Chapter in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It is dated December 22, 1943. This certificate is an example of one women's contribution to the war effort during World War II. The American National Red Cross worked to mobilize women to become nurses, overseas and also on the homefront.
