Description:

This American National Red Cross Home Nursing pin accompanies a certificate that certified Mrs. Aldonna Leslie, also known as Mrs. Victor Leslie, completed the standard course in Red Cross Home Nursing given under the auspices of the Kent County Chapter in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The certificate is dated December 22, 1943. These items demonstrate one women's contribution to the war effort during World War II. The American National Red Cross worked to mobilize women to become nurses, overseas and also on the home front.
