RELEVANCE: This item was purchased specifically for use in the 'GR 1890's' exhibition, however, it should also be accepted into the permanent collection for the following reasons; it is an excellent example of documentation of women's undergarment's from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It shows not only the underwear but also relates the type of outerwear which was typical of that time period. OTHER COLLECTIONS: We have many other advertising items in the collection. We have trade cards and some other signs for corsets, but nothing for garters. We have many items of women's clothing from this time period including garters and corsets.KANDL01;only by F.F.
