Description:

This pair of moccasins is decorated with beads of blue, yellow, red, white, green, brown, and pink. They have a satin ribbon at the front of the ankle and were made around 1850 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, by a Chippewa maker.

Angie Sophia Buchanan McKee was born in 1872 to John and Sophia Buchanan. She was the youngest of six children. She married James Langdon McKee and passed away in 1961.
