Tray with birchbark bottom embroidered in colored porcupine quills in floral motifs with sides of coiled sweet grass enclosing border of open work.Oval birchbark basket. Rim of sweetgrass. Bottom, floral design of porcupine skills. Michigan Native Americans, said to have been made about 1840.
