Described by: Barbara Hail, 07/90. Pemmican pounder used by women. Rawhide, wet is stitched over split wood half bent around groove in stone head and stitched w/sinew. When dry, it shrinks tight. Such tools were re-used & passed down in families from mother to daughter.
