Description:
These are an example of the regular U.S. issue prescription eye glasses that were provided by the U.S. forces during the Vietnam War era.

The frames are made of an almost clear / grey cellulose acetate. There are metal diamond shaped inserts front & arms. Both arms of glasses are marked “S/C USA 4 ¼ - 5 ½ “. Inside the nosepiece the size of the glasses appears to be marked: “48 20 USA”.

This pair of glasses, which were donated by Fred Paepke a Vietnam veteran living in Michigan, are in a (plastic?) beige case with metal nose support and snap closure.
