Photo of Albert Wells as a 1st Lieutenant of Co. B 1st Michigan Engineers & Mechanics, taken in Chattanooga Tenn. Wells enlisted as a Sergeant of Co. B in 1861 , he lived in Grand Rapids MI. He served until late 1864 until his original 3 year enlistment expired. He received a promotion to 1st Lt. 2/25/1864.
