Description:
Huber enlisted in Grand Rapids Michigan 9/19/1861 as a Corporal. He served throughout the war re-enlisting in 1864 and mustering out 9/22/1865. This photo is listed on reverse as being taken at Chattanooga Tennessee April 20, 1864. He is pictured as a Sergeant with Veterans stripes on his lower sleeve having re-enlisted 2/1/1864. Huber received an additional promotion to 2nd Lt. of Company E before going home.
