Description:
Crittenton enlisted 9/12/1861 and was commissioned a captain in Company K 1st Michigan Engineers & Mechanics 12/6/1861. He received a promotion to Major in 1864 and served until mustered out on 9/22/1865. He resided in Marshall Michigan and died in 1899 in Chicago Illinois.
