Description:
This wedding dress features lace trim on the neck, shoulders, sleeves, and skirt. It also has a silk gauze overlay covered with rose appliques. It was worn by Marguerite Clark when she married Edmund W. Wurzburg in 1905. Other features of this dress that are indicative of early 1900s styling are the lace yoke with high collar, blousing at the front (also referred to as a mono-bosom silhouette), the narrow waist and gathers at the back of the skirt.
