This evening dress of black velvet features white lace trim at the neckline. There is a black net panel on the front of the bodice that is decorated with embroidery and applique. The three-quarter sleeves have embroidered net inserts and there is piping at the waist. Features that indicate this dress is from the early 1900s are the lace at the neck, the three-quarter sleeves, and the narrow waist.
