Description:
This evening dress made of wool and crepe has a standing collar and a yoke of embroidered applique. The same applique can be seen on the collar and the sleeve cuffs. The dress has demi-gigot sleeves and pleats at the back of the bodice. There are also gathers at the waist of the skirt. Features that indicate this dress is from the late 19th century are the hourglass silhouette, the standing collar, and the demi-gigot sleeves.
