This dress of plaid silk has an overlay of black lace. It features cloth covered buttons down the center front of the boned bodice and has bows on top of the shoulders. The sleeves are close fitted and there are gathers on the center back of the bodice. This skirt is gathered at the waistline.This dress is originally from the 1860s. It has been heavily altered with the addition of the black lace overlay.
