This afternoon dress of silk features printed chiffon embellishments and inserts as well as lace inserts at the neck. The New Heatherbone boned bodice features pintucks at the neck and ruffles on the back of the bodice, the front of the bodice, and on the sleeves. The sleeves have tiers of patterned chiffon and small puffs at the shoulders. The skirt is gathered and has tiered chiffon panels at the front. Features that indicate this dress is from the 1890s are the hourglass silhouette, the boned bodice, and the standing collar.
