This percussion rifle is unmarked but shares many features of percussion arms made by frontier gunmakers. This example is a full stock rifle, meaning the wood stock extends to the muzzle end of the barrel and would usually feature a brass nose cap. The barrel is an octagon design as many at the time were. This rifle features a brass trigger guard. There is a patchbox that has been inlet into the right side of the buttstock. The lock features minimal leaf engraving. The wrist of the stock is checkered.
