Description:
This gray suit is made of wool and consists of three pieces that include a morning coat, a vest, and trousers. The coat has black trim throughout and has a single buttons closure at the center front. It has notched lapels and false flap pockets on the front of the waist. There is a welt pocket on the proper left breast and three buttons on each sleeve cuff. This coat has a center vent on the back and is lined with black silk. There is an interior maker label from Mackenzie, Bostock, Monroe of Grand Rapids, Michigan. The vest has a notched lapel and four welt pockets on the front. There are five buttons down the center front and an interior maker label from Carr, Hutchins, Anderson Company of Grand Rapids, Michigan. This suit was worn by Theodore Bender.
