Not every invention catches on. Despite several distinct advantages offered by the Twin Port-A-Boat, invented by Jack Henningsen of Grand Rapids, Michigan, this unique nautical design never became very popular. The boat folded in half to take up less space in the garage for storage, it had attached wheels for easier transport and towing, and could even be separated into two pieces so that a pair of fisherman could split up while on the water.
