Description:
This two-tone blue hat is made of wool felt and has an upturned brim. There is blue petersham ribbon around the crown and the interior sweatband is also made of blue petersham ribbon. There is a stamp on the interior crown that reads "Helios, Body Made in Italy". There are also two labels on the sweatband. The first reads "Leocadia Jones, Grand Rapids". The second reads "Trelor, Original, New York".

Leocadia Jones was born in 1892 and was a prominent hatmaker in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She started her business at Friedman-Spring Dry Good Company in 1925 and a year later she opened her own shop at 24 Sheldon Avenue Southeast. In 1927 Leocadia's shop moved to 8 Jefferson Ave Southeast. She stayed in business until 1956 when her husband, John Jones, passed away. Leocadia and John had a daughter Margaret who was born in 1923. Leocadia passed away on October 20th, 1961.
