Leocadia Jones (creator)Leocadia Jones was born in 1892 and was a prominent hatmaker in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She started her business at Friedman-Spring Dry Good Company in 1925 and a year later she opened her own shop at 24 Sheldon Avenue Southeast. In 1927 Leocadia's shop moved to 8 Jefferson Ave Southeast. She stayed in business until 1956 when her husband, John Jones, passed away. Leocadia and John had a daughter Margaret who was born in 1923. Leocadia passed away on October 20th, 1961.
