Description:
This cotton sunbonnet features a blue and white tartan pattern. Along the back of this bonnet is a curtain used to protect the wearer from the sun. There are buttons that can be used to attach and un-attach the curtain. This bonnet was worn by Mrs. Jeremick Ragen who was the grandmother of the donor. It was also worn by Mrs. Lee who, with her husband, homesteaded a farm in Muskegon County before the Civil War.
