This shotgun was likely produced by one of the many small gunmakers that was operating in Belgium during the mid 1800s. It features minor scroll and leaf engraving on the lock, hammer, and trigger guard. The lock is a back action lock. The barrel is marked with the “ELG” Belgian proof. The wrist of the stock is checkered.
