Description:
This belt is an example of the standard belt issued by the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. According to VietnamGear.com "This simple belt with brass roller buckle was worn with the Army utility / field uniforms." 

The artifact was donated by Fred Paepke, a Michigan resident and veteran of the Vietnam War. There is some tarnish on the buckle, which is marked on the back with "U.S. RAU". Other end of the belt appears to be hand cut.
