In 2023, GRPM acquired the Francisco Miguel Nava Vega Lopez Tapia Archival Collection #246 which documents the life and legacy of Francisco Vega (1922-2021), a leader in the West Michigan Latino community. In 2025, the family donated objects relating to Francisco Vega such as this example. Another part of the donation are papers documenting the political, social and family life of his wife Phylllis Jean Lachland Vega (1923 - 2025) which were added to Archival Collection #246.
