This small sample tin is from the Marietta Stanley Company of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and contains Apple Blossom Cream. Apple Blossom Cream was used similar to today's cosmetic primer and was applied to the face prior to face powder. This prevented the powder from entering the pores and helped it to last longer.  Marietta Stanley Company was a woman-owned business based in Grand Rapids at the turn of the century.
