Description:
This bear stuffed animal was created by Cris Ta Bears, Inc. of Springfield, Illinois for the 2005 inauguration of the 44th President of the United States, George W. Bush. It has blue fur with white ears and a white snout as well as a red, white, and blue ribbon tied in a bow around its neck. The stomach is embroidered with the Great Seal of the United States and the words "President George W. Bush" are embroidered on the right arm. The words "Vice President Dick Cheney" are embroidered on the left arm.

James 'Jim' Haveman has been a board member of the Grand Rapids Public Museum since 2015 and is an avid collector of historical material. In early 2003 after being asked by the White House to be the senior advisor for health in Iraq, he traveled to Iraq as the Acting Minister of Health. For the next year, Haveman worked to rebuild the healthcare system for the entire country consisting of 240 hospitals, 1,200 clinics, and 100,000 employees.
