Coogi was founded in 1969 by Jacky Taranto in Toorak, Australia. Originally known as Cuggi, the brand is recognized for its bold designs, luxury knits, and colorful palette. The U.S. adopted the kaleidoscopic-patterned sweaters made famous by artists such as The Notorious B.I.G. in the 1990s, sparking recognition for the brand worldwide. Later collaborations included Burton Snowboards, Rag & Bone, Android Homme, and Puma. The brand was later sold in 2002 and was relaunched in 2014.
