Description:
This silk wedding dress has a net lace overlay and a scoop neckline. The short puff sleeves are gathered into the armhole and the skirt has Petersham ribbons near the hem. Design features that are typical of the 1940s are the slender silhouette, the slight full skirt, and the puff sleeves.  This wedding dress was worn by the donor's mother, Madge Ladner when she married Gordon Fraser in Big Rapids in 1945. Madge was born in Big Rapids in 1911.
