Shown here is the Civil War Monument located in Monument's Park. The monument was dedicated on September 17, 1885, and is cast in zinc. At the base of the monument is a fountain. Fulton Street runs behind it, with houses on the other side of the road. ;Penciled on the back of the photograph is: "Soldiers Monument--- Show old house in background where Press building now stands"
