Places like the 1913 Room Restaurant provided a very special experience for guests to celebrate those special moments in their lives. Guests were treated to multi-sensory experience at the restaurant that included: great ambiance, exceptional service and haute-cuisine. The 1913 Room Restaurant in the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in downtown Grand Rapids provided a world-class dining experience to the community and the community guests staying at the hotel. Its excellence was recognized as the only Michigan establishment to receive the coveted American Automobile Associations (AAA) Five Diamond Rating. Fashioned after English Adams architecture by designers Warren & Wetmore, and by 1925 The Pantlind was ranked as one of the Ten Finest Hotels in America. That distinguished history paved the way for the refurbishment of the historic Pantlind by the Amway Corporation, its new owners. The Amway Grand Plaza Hotel reopened in 1981, combining the graceful heritage with modern amenities.
