Description:
The Super Nintendo Entertainment System (Super NES or Super Nintendo) was released in North America in 1991 as a technologically superior successor to the original Nintendo Entertainment System. It featured 16-bit graphics, advanced sound, and an upgraded controller with 6 buttons. The SNES competed with its primary rival the Sega Genesis for the hearts and dollars of gamers throughout the 1990s and sold over 49.1 million worldwide.

This Super Nintendo Entertainment System belonged to the donor's husband and was purchased by the donor as a Christmas present in 1993. He played it as his way of unwinding after a stressful day at work. After several years it was packed in a box and put away. However, the console gained a second life a few years later when the donor's children discovered it when they became interested in video games.
