Lacquered, painted, wooden box with a dome shaped lid that opens up and is hinged at back. The lid does not have an interior support. The box is lavishly decorated on all four sides and the dome top with stylized animal and fish shapes.The paintings are very colorful in shades of pink, green, yellow, gold, on a dark blue background. The box is painted black but the illustrations are painted over a dark blue backbround. The inside is unfinished wood. It is not sanded smooth.;Purchased on e-bayDate:
