Depicted in the scene is a rice wine jar, arrow and vase game, and the boy is holding a lotus.;The pink paisley design was popular in export items through the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The body of the plate is typical of southern China. In the Chinese language, lotus seeds and the name for 'boy' are homonyms.
