Reverse Painting on glass depicting the winged Archangel Michael brandishing a sword and scale, trampling the devil beneath his feet. Framed with brown wood frame.;This painting is an example of an artistic style and religious beliefs of Poland. Robert C. Bushewicz was born in Michigan on July 9th, 1917. He served in World War I in the Pacific Theatre and was a member of the Polish Heritage Society, the American Legion Post 356, and the Grand Valley Artist Association. He worked at the Grand Rapids Public Museum as the Museum Artist and Chief Preparator of Exhibits from 1961 until his retirement in 1980. Bushewicz passed away on June 21st, 2008, and was buried at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
