Description:
This black wool cloche was made by Neumann-Endler Inc. who specialized in the making of wool hats. They were located in Danbury, Connecticut. This style of hat was often worn with short hairstyles such as the bob. They were often made of felt so they could easily form to the shape of the head. The cloche was worn low on the forehead and sometimes featured embellishments such as lace applique, embroidery, and jeweled broaches.
