Description:
Rectangular sideboard, finished front and back. Dexter side beneath top holds a column of four drawers with plated brass bands as pulls on sides of drawers. Center and sinister side beneath top covered by one large drawer with handles. Beneath drawer is artificial drawer front, with overhands cabinet with two doors. Artificial front rests on two cylindrical tapered legs with glides on feet and pulls out to reveal plastic-impregnated bamboo table top with tambour supports. Space for storage of table top is concealed. Rectangular free-standing shelving unit with glass doors stands atop sideboard top. Blonde or bleached finish. Chairs store inside lower cabinet.;Excellent example of furnishings made for small homes during the post-World War II building boom. Made in Michigan, purchased in Grand Rapids. OTHER COLLECTIONS: Welsh folding bed from different era also combines several functions in one piece of furniture.
