Description:

Around 1930, this ensemble would have been a typical costume used in 'Wild West' shows. These public performances were an integral part of earning a living at that time for many West Michigan Native American residents. This costume was purchased for the museum by the Chief Noonday Chapter of the Questers. It includes a canvas jacket with beadwork appliqué and snap closures, tailored canvas pants with suede leather trim/fringe, and a turkey feather headdress with beadwork appliqué.
