This black ash basket, possibly a sewing basket, was made around 1895 to 1905. It is two-tiered and supported by four wood slats on legs and has a solid wood handle. Each tier is round with intricate weaving or ribbon technique. The lid is flat with a sweetgrass rim. There is some evidence of green and orange dye on the ribbons. It was purchased from an estate auction in Royal Oak, Michigan.
