Description:
Multiple strips of thin white cardboard strung together vertically to create a long, thin calendar that looks like a bamboo curtain. The top and bottom of the srtips is secrued by a thin wood dowel painted a dark rusty, red. The top half of the calendar which has a central panel containing a full color reproduction of a Chinese print of Asian roosters standing on a rock with chrysanthemums behind them. This image is surrounded by a 2005 calendar with each month of the year shown separately. Along the bottom is a Chinese calendar which shows the 12 animals that represent each year. The bottom half contains a copy of the restaurant's menu and inforamrion about the restaurant's location, phone number, hours of operation, all printed in red.;Found on table in office area at the Community Archives & Research Center Building on 12-28-2004. No staff member personally brought it in. It is assumed that someone from the restaurant left it at the front door, perhaps for marketing or publicity purposes.
