Description:
This silk dress features a pink plaid pattern and has a boned bodice. The neckline is pleated and v-shaped and there are darts in the bodice. This dress also displays short cap sleeves and gathers around the waistline. Features that are indicative of the mid-1800s are the built-in hoop, the boned bodice, and the plaid pattern. 

This dress was first worn on a concert stage in Cleveland, Ohio by Mrs. J. C. Weuhuis.
