This taffeta hat has oval cutouts on the crown that have colorful underlays. It was made by Gage Brothers & Co. in Chicago. During this time period hats were small in size and were often worn at an angle. This hat could have been worn for either daily or special occasion wear and likely would have been worn with a larger hairstyle.
