Vote! Making it Count explores the ways voting has changed throughout American history. The voting process has evolved in response to social, cultural and technological developments. One of the most important political rights U.S. citizens have is the right to vote, and it is crucial to the health of democracy.

Mary Kindel (donor)
Mary Kindel was born in 1907 and married Thomas Kindel in 1930. Thomas Kindel and his brother owned Kindel Furniture Company which was founded by their father Charles. Mary was involved with many organizations and was one of the founders of the first Planned Parenthood facilities in Grand Rapids. She passed away in 2001 and was the last living founder of the Grand Rapids Planned Parenthood.
