Description:
Almost every man during the early 20th century owned a shaving mug. Hot water was not available from the tap, so often the water had to be boiled first and then carried to the bathroom in a mug. This is a souvenir ceramic shaving mug that reads: "Michigan Avenue from Canal Street, Grand Rapids, Mich". The bottom says it was made in Bavaria.
