Black Calder Brewing Company, Michigan's first Black-owned brewery, launched its release of Black IPA on Friday, November 27th, 2020. The company was founded by Terry Rostic and Jamaal Ewing and is named after Grand Rapids, Michigan, also known as Calder City. The company plans to incorporate hip-hop culture into its brand and hopes to inspire inclusivity and community involvement.
